DLL2405FPW: Any experiences with RGB-SCART to VGA adapters?

Currently i have connected my hyundai HSS730 SAT-Receiver to the 2405 by Composite output to use it also as a TV-Monitor. Because of the poor quality of FBAS composite i am thinking about an adapter cable from RGB-Scart Output to the analogue VGA-Input.  Such cables are availlable( e.g. Oehlbach). The main problem is following: RGB does'nt support line-sync and frame-sync. A lot of monitors are able to use a composite signal for sync. Will this also work with the DEL2405FPW
Everything would be easier if the SAT-Receiver would have a component out, but it does not seem so.

A general question:
Would i have a better picture quality if i would use a DVB-SAT-Card inside my PC (especially for HDTV use) instead of a standalone receiver?
Watching TV in Fullcsreen mode via Composite Input shows picture artifacts like a poor bitrate MPEG oder DIVX video. It also seems as if the colour depht is much smaller (64K or less).
Playing a DVD on my PC over DVI is looking great. (monitor resolution 1920 x 1200)
