Dell U3011 Monitor HDMI fail?

Hey there, I just bought a Dell U3011.

My source (Computer) has an HDMI 1.3 output, and the Dell U3011 has a HDMI 1.3 port.

Since it's HDMI 1.3, wouldn't I be able to get 2560x1600 resolution via HDMI?

Rather than using a dual link DVI, which I would not prefer since it does not pass audio and I am running my data through a A/V Reciever.

Please clarify if it would be possible to get this resolution via HDMI, or I may just have to cancel/return my order.
