Dimension 4100 compatible with a newer larger monitor?
A friend has asked me to install a newer, larger monitor for her Dell Dimension 4100. It was purchased in 2001. Will this computer support any/all larger monitors, say 19-22", or is it limited? Here is her service tag printout:

Hello.
Someone is still running a 4100? I have one of those too. I also use it once in a while. It's the best computer I ever bought.
It just keeps running and running. I just pulled it out of storage and plugged in a 19" CRT (Tube monitor) and tried my 19" LCD.
Both worked well.
I am quite sure that a montior is a monitor and anything with a standard (Blue Connector) will work. Not sure about a widescreen though.
I would think that a widescreen would work if you used it in the 4:3 mode. It just needs that standard blue plug connection.
You do understand that if she is using Windows ME on the Internet, she is not safe when it comes to being hacked, right?
Have a good one,
