E177FP, colored flashing

Question

Hi, I have a problem with my monitor. When i shut down my monitor starts flashing thought colours and won't let me switch it off. The also flashing also occurs when the computer goes on standby .The monitor starts flashing and cycling through a series of different colours. It started occuring when i was shutting down the computer and i moved the monitor. It started flashing and wouldn't let me switch off and now it does it whenever i shut down or the computer is on standby. This problem has been previously reported by Shadfan66 on the 02-18-2007 but no solution seemed to be found. Can you help?   My monitor is an E177FP model.

This solution did not work on my Monitor no menu came up when powering up holding down the menu and plus buttons. And the other replies did not seem to solve the problem.   Any thoughts??

I accessed the normal menu and reset the factory setting again and now all seems to be normal again. So i guess problem solved for now.

I haven't heard of problem that you can't access the service menu?

Menu Factory Settings All Settings The screen auto adjusts itself to the factory settings and this seems to have solved the problem. Cheers
