E2016H, white light on the border/edges

I recently bought Dell E2106H monitor. I have noticed that there is a white light on the borders / periphery / edges of 2-3cm wide of the monitor screen i.e. on all the four sides. It became visible / prominent on black/darkish background. Please confirm whether it is normal or otherwiseThanks and best regards

Hi there, can you post an image of it? There is a good chance that this could just be a little bleed over and is normal but I wanted to confirm what it looks like.

Best regards,

Brad

Thanks for posting the images, I have checked with Chris on this and he let me know that as per the FAQ located here (#1 and 2), this this looks to be in spec. To confirm this though, can you follow the 2nd part and post an image with the lights on during the Built-in Diagnostics. I can check with Chris on Tuesday.

Best regards,

Brad

Thanks for posting these, this looks to be within spec. Did you purchase this directly from Dell, and if so, how long ago? Sorry on the delay.

Best regards,

Brad

Hi, sorry for the delay in seeing this. I have checked with Chris and he let me know that this appears to be within spec from the pics you attached. I think a good option if you're not happy with it is to return it and repurchase from the retailer (if possible, since it was not purchased from Dell). Since this monitor is within spec it would not fall under a normal warranty replacement. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Brad

Thanks for the reply.I have checked similar model from retailer and it has also got more or less similar performance..so i think these are in all dell monitors.
