E2314H, three, mirroring 2nd to 3rd

I currently have dual monitors set up on my laptop using a docking station. The type of monitors and their configuration are as follows:

Dell E2314H.PNG

I would like to mirror the second monitor on a third monitor which is a Dell U2312HM (I want the same thing that is displayed on monitor 2 to display on monitor 3).

  1. Is this possible with these monitors?
Is so, what type of cables and connection do I need to set up (i.e. VGA to VGA, etc.)?
  2. Can someone provide step by step instructions?

Docking Station
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x display / video - DVI-Digital - 18+1 pin digital DVI (Single-Link)
1 x display / video - DisplayPort - 20 pin DisplayPort

Monitor 1 (main, to my left) Part of dual setup
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x display / video - DVI-Digital - 18+1 pin digital DVI (Single-Link)

Monitor 2 (to my right) Part of dual setup
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x display / video - DVI-Digital - 18+1 pin digital DVI (Single-Link)

Monitor 3 (this is front of my colleague and we want it to mirror monitor 2)
1 x display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x display / video - DVI-Digital - 18+1 pin digital DVI (Single-Link)
1 x display / video - DisplayPort - 20 pin DisplayPort

I have the DisplayPort going to monitor on my left, the VGA going to the monitor to my right and the DVI going to the monitor in front of my colleague. They are all now working. The computer is not seeing the one on my left as number 1 (sees it as #3), I went into display setting and made it the primary monitor. Then I made the monitor to my right and the one in front of my colleague duplicate each other.

You cannot connect the U2312HM #3 directly to the U2312HM #2. U2312HM #3 would have to connect to the dock or laptop. Have you done this? List all of the video out ports on the dock. List all of the video out ports on the laptop.

So are you saying that you resolved the mirror/duplicate issue using the GPU/Display settings in the operating system?

All three monitors are now working.

I have monitor #3 set as my main computer. monitor #2 is duplicated on monitor #1 so it is now working just as I hoped it would.
