FAQ Monitor firmware

Questions you need to weigh =

If your monitor is already out of warranty but still functioning, there is always a risk installing a monitor firmware. If the firmware fails, you could break the out of warranty monitor.

If the monitor firmware update addresses a specific issue and you do not have that specific issue, do you need to risk it?

I see other users posting that they have newer firmware, but the Dell drivers page does not show it?
Sometimes the firmware update is not on the Dell drivers library. The only way to get a monitor with the updated firmware is via a refurbished exchange under these stipulations =
* If not purchased directly from Dell, you have to first transfer it into your name
* The purchased warranty must still be in effect
* You have contacted Technical Support for your country and they have verified fault found with the current monitor
