Monitor P991 cannot adjust pixels, locked into 2-color VGA mode - here is the sollution to fixing the problem.

Pixel adjustment solution for monitor Type P991. My problem as probably with all of you who have experienced this problem comes to life after you reload the win9x Os. In doing so I chose to wipe my hard drive clean before reloading. This act some how reconfigures the on board intel chipset (that is the graphics adapter.) and when the system reboots the adapter is only running a 2-color VGA mode. The solution is to go to the intel driver data base and download the instructions and the right driver for your chipset. Here is the link to the Intel site, my chip set is the type 810E. You can find out yours by going to the control panel select system-device manager-click on display adapter and it should tell you what chip set is on your mother board.

There is more to this but you can read the directions and should be able to get your monitor healthy again. IF not email me at radamson43@yahoo.com and I will try to lend some help.

Best wishes,

robert
