Monitor model identification from the serial number
Every Dell monitor has label with the 20 digit serial number. That same label could also show a Service Tag. Enter that Service Tag here.
CN-068MCF-74261-55N-07AL
In the above U3415W 20 digit serial number, 68MCF is the Dell 5 digit part number. You would then do a simple Google search for the Dell 5 digit part number = dell part 68MCF
Which shows us that 68MCF is the U3415W monitor.
What do the numbers actually mean in the 20 digit serial number?
CN = China
0 = Filler
68MCF = Dell part number
74261 = OEM factory ID
55N = Build date Year/Month/Day (2015/May/23)
07AL = OEM manufacturer code
