P2210, won't turn on
I was using a Dell P2210 yesterday plugged into a laptop using a DVI to HDMI adapter and it was working fine. My laptop went to sleep and the monitor turned off. Today I tried using the Dell P2210 but it won't turn on.
I have tried unplugging everything and pressing the power button for ~10-30 seconds and plugging everything back in but that didn't work. I have also tried restarting the laptop several times.
I have tried only having the power cable plugged in but the power indication light doesn't turn on and the monitor remains off.
I have also tried plugging the monitor into my desktop using a DVI cable (no adapters) as a secondary monitor. The desktop can detect the P2210 and I can change the settings for it in "display settings". However, the monitor remains blank. It appears that the monitor is attached though because I can move my mouse into the area where the P2210 is supposed to be and I can also drag windows in there (which obviously I can't see). I have also tried to make the P2210 the primary monitor but the monitor still remains off.
I have installed and run softMCCS which can detect the P2210. However "DDC/CI" is marked as red/"not supported" and I cannot access any of the other functionality.
I'm not sure what else to try and am wondering if anyone could provide me with some suggestions? Thanks.
