P2418HZ, Skype cannot identify two integrated cameras, #3

I have this problem too. I've not tried the workaround in the manual, as it's not a solution. I do not want to set the monitor cameras as default. I want to be able to switch between them. The workaround implies that if I undock my laptop (which I do frequently during the day) there will be no camera until I manually enable it in Device Manager.

So, back to the original question - how do I switch between the integrated laptop camera and the monitor camera?

As I previously showed, it is either one or the other. You cannot have both camera enabled and simply switch between them. The fault lies with Skype's inability to work with two different camera. So you have to disable one. You would have to pursue a "fix" for this from Skype. They will have to update their software to be able to see and choose from multiple active cameras. mostashaar showed via a registry hack that the Skype software can do it. But Skype would have to fix this within their software.
