P2715Q, cannot see/boot into bios on displayport
Whenever I try to boot into my motherboard bios (by pressing DEL), the screen shows a blinking cursor. This is on Displayport and though I had previous issues where it only was on 4K@30hz, I somehow managed to get it resolved to the correct setting at 4K@60hz.
The blinking cursor is also there is I try to access the bios boot menu before Windows boots up.
I am using the built-in Intel 4600 graphics on the i7-4770K CPU and using Displayport on a Gigabyte Z87MX-D3H motherboard. Drivers have been updated to the latest for Windows 10.
Anyone faces similar issue with going into motherboard bios using the CPU inbuilt graphics and solved it?

I recently bought a P2715Q ver. A01 and noticed I could no longer see the initial splash screen for the Gigabyte ga-Z97x-ud5h Rev1.1 motherboard. I'm also using the built-in Intel 4600 graphics, but this one on the i7-4790K Devil's Canyon CPU....no overclocking. No amount of F2, F8, F12 or DEL at boot could get me into bios and left only a blinking cursor on the screen. But rebooting normally at least got me into Windows.
Using the latest drivers for Win8.1 including those for the Intel graphics and Gigabyte board. Also using the HDMI connection at 4K@30Hz, and I thought perhaps it was a 'fast boot' problem, but finally ruled that out.
Today I happened to add some memory and could not boot. The motherboard hung on LED code 'A9' every time after checking all connections, and even after returning to the original memory in the original slots. Was pulling my hair out when I finally thought I'd hook up the old HP 2408 monitor that I had replaced with this P2715Q. Voilà....booted right up and the Gigabyte splash screen for entering bios was again visible.
During the troubleshoot, I removed the CMOS battery and checked it's voltage, but it was fine. When the computer rebooted with the HP monitor, it asked me to choose to return bios to defaults, so I did.
Now with the P2715Q hooked back up, I'm back to being able to boot into Windows, but still the ability to get into bios at boot time has disappeared. I've decided to get a discrete graphics card and run at 4K@60Hz to see if that solves the problem.
Clearly something weird is going on between this monitor and either the Gigabyte board or the 4600 graphics. I'll update when I get a new display card. Hope this helps someone.
