You should read the existing P3222QE threads on the Apple Forum. If need be, start a new thread out there stating the issue to get possible assistance from other macOS users.
* Disconnect every cable (including power cable) from the P3222QE
* Press the P3222QE power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the P3222QE
* Run the Built-in Diagnostics (page 70 in the online P3222QE User's Guide)
- If you see the backlight flicker during the Built-in Diagnostics, the P3222QE is faulty
- If you do not see the backlight flicker during the Built-in Diagnostics, the P3222QE is OK. The fault is either the cabling or the macOS or its drivers.
