Receiving a Refurbrished Monitor as a replacement - Is It Worth It?

Question

- Im thinking of returning my 2707 which I bought 32 days ago - Its only slightly defective and I was and still am too busy to take care of this... So since its been 32 days Dell will only send me a refurbished one - which I dont trust at all. - So I want your stories of doing something like this - and what did you received as a replacement? I mean, is it noticeable that it was refurbished? Where Dell gets them from - Are they refused by clients monitors or completely redone ones? - Im not even sure I want to get through all this hustle and get god knows what in return. What Did you get?

Had my 2407 replaced with a refurbished and cannot be any happier.  No dead pixels, no issues to report.  Most times you will get a very good replacement but there is always a chance you might not.  If it not one of the better ones, call Dell up and complain about it nicely   :smileywink:

Vadim K   I got a bad 'refurbished' replacement and it was replaced with a great one all in about 10-15 days. the second replacement looked new and worked great. No problems, really pretty easy to do. This was about 3-1/5 years ago, everything is still very good.   That's why I keep coming back to Dell. They will always get it right in the long run. Just be patient and friendly; they will respond in kind.   Good luck Robert

I bought a 2001FP monitor in June 2005. The monitor has been going now. I been getting a rainbow flickering effect. Since I have a 3 year warranty on it they replaced it with a 2007FP. Got it today. The monitor is clear and sharper then my old one. It only has one dead pixel that you can barely see in the bottom left but otherwise I am keeping it. I was not expecting them to give me a 2007FP since I bought the monitor 2 and a half years ago.
