S2716DG, Constant flicker

S/N: CN-0NNV54-74261-5AG-0A3Q-A01
To what computer model is the monitor attached?  Windows
What video card/GPU is in the computer? Nvidia 970 (but note the issue is also apparent when not connected to PC)
Was the monitor purchased directly from Dell or some reseller? Purchased directly through Dell
Issue: After the monitor has been on for a short period of time (2 mins) it starts to flicker black really quickly.
I have run the self test and built in diagnostics (without anything plugged into the HDMI/DP) and chosen white colour, and within 2 minutes (same as before) it starts flickering. I have also done a factory reset on the monitor.

This is my third replacement monitor I've had with a different issue.

Is the monitor power cable plugged directly into the wall socket without any extension cabling?

Hi Chris,

Yes it is plugged directly into the wall. I've also tried the monitor in several other power point positions in the house (with different power cables) to ensure it wasn't dirty or a fault in the power.

My issue is that my warranty finished around August last year, however it was the same time that I received this monitor as a replacement after already sending 3 monitors back with faults.

They didn't sell my monitor anymore so they gave me an upgrade to this monitor.

I am in Australia.

From a warranty perspective, there is nothing Dell can do. We do not offer exchanges once the purchased warranty period expires. At this point you are looking at having a local repair disassemble the monitor to try to find the faulty component. Then search for that component on ebay.

We have different laws in Australia regarding replacement units. Is there an address I can write to to have this solved? I don't feel like calling a tech centre will help me resolve this matter.

Hi Chris, please see my latest post below. Is there an address in Australia I can send a letter too?
