S2721DGF, HDMI limited range RGB, Xbox Series S

I recently got an Xbox Series S and the console defaulted to limited RGB output, so I set its output to full range PC in the display options as PC monitors use full range.

When calibrating the Xbox Series S using its built in calibration tool, I get to a screen that displays two black boxes, one with a white closed eye, and the other with an open eye.

The calibration screen tells you to up brightness until both eyes are visible and then lower brightness until the closed eye is barely visible.

On full range RGB the closed eye is never visible at even max display brightness, the calibrator suggest this is because of wrong black level setting, which refers to rgb setting.

Setting the RGB to output of the Xbox Series S to limited resolves the issue making both eyes visible, blacks definitely look crushed with full range output in games.

Does this monitor use limited range RGB when using HDMI ports? Or does it have full native support for both?

After a bit of research reading through multiple forum threads, it seems the issue is with the xbox's incorrect full rgb output mode.
