Hey,

I have the exact same issue on the exact monitor. Have you found a solution for this?

Thanks

Hey,

I have noticed this while playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and now when I am noticing it in other games too. At first I thought it was just a Red dead thing, but now I am beginning to notice it elsewhere. I have seen it before when playing Warzone which i play mostly, but thought it was just because of nvidia filters etc that I was using, but I realize that its not that now. I have upgraded my GPU from a 3070 to a 3080ti and it happens on both GPUs which leads me to believe its an issue with the Monitor. Can you assist?

You did not post the S2721DGF settings you are using?

The online S2721DGF User's Guide shows us that the monitor can use four Hz settings (60/120/144/165) coupled with three Response Time settings (4 ms Fast mode, 3 ms SuperFast mode, 1 ms Extreme mode). You have to test them all in different combinations within the game.

NOTE: In 1 ms Extreme mode, slight artifacts may be encountered due to overdriving for fast speed and responsiveness. Use Super Fast/Fast mode for optimal front of screen experience and game play.

Hey,

I am using it at 165hz as I play mostly FPS. I have tried it on fast and faster and problem persists.

I have noticed it now that i have started playing more third person games as your character is on screen.

Every game has multiple performance settings within it. You have to take the 12 tests and add in the games multiple performance setting options and test those.

You are missing our point. The game has to be tested using all 12 combinations below to find the "best" combination for your PC and the game.

Test 1 = S2721DGF 60Hz/4 ms Fast mode
Test 2 = S2721DGF 60Hz/3 ms Super Fast
Test 3 = S2721DGF 60Hz/1 ms Extreme mode

Test 4 = S2721DGF 120Hz/4 ms Fast mode
Test 5 = S2721DGF 120Hz/3 ms Super Fast
Test 6 = S2721DGF 120Hz/1 ms Extreme mode

Test 7 = S2721DGF 144Hz/4 ms Fast mode
Test 8 = S2721DGF 144Hz/3 ms Super Fast
Test 9 = S2721DGF 144Hz/1 ms Extreme mode

Test 10 = S2721DGF 165Hz/4 ms Fast mode
Test 11 = S2721DGF 165Hz/3 ms Super Fast
Test 12 = S2721DGF 165Hz/1 ms Extreme mode

Stuffs_za,

No. That is only a workaround accounting for his PC and the game.

What if 60hz fast works best. Would you consider that to be the solution?

Stuffs_za,

Yes,  test them all to see which one works the best.

I can take some time and test, but I however paid a premium price for a 165hz monitor. If 60hz resolves the problem are you telling me to run the monitor at 60hz? I don't think anyone that buys this monitor even consider 60hz.
