S2721DGFA, not VESA DisplayHDR certified in Windows

The monitor is supposed to be "VESA DisplayHDR 400-certifed". But when looking in advanced display settings in Windows, it says "HDR certification: None".

Is this an issue with specs not being communicated from the monitor to Windows correctly or at all for that matter?

Or is this an issue with Dell and VESA? Seeing as only the North American version of the monitor S2721DGF is officially certified by looking at the DisplayHDR website. Nowhere does it mention the European version S2721DGFA. So perhaps Windows doesn't recognize it as certified because the monitor identifies itself with the EU model name and Windows only recognizes the NA model name.

I'd love some Dell official input on this seeing as I've bought a monitor believing it to be certified by looking the the product page.

After having been in contact with Dell support, the issue has now been solved with a new driver release for the S2721DGF/S2721DGFA monitors.

The online S2721DGFA User's Guide mentions HDR, Smart HDR, and DisplayHDR.

I realise that it's being advertised and documented as such. My issue is that this specific model isn't listed on the DisplayHDR website under certified products: VESA Certified DisplayHDR 400

Because of that, or some other reason, Windows isn't recognising the monitor as being DisplayHDR certified.

I am in any case in touch with Dell-Cares and working with the technicians to try and figure this out. Hopefully it will be solved

The S2721DGFA is VESA DisplayHDR certified. So the issue on your end is not the capability of the S2721DGFA. By the way, we reached out to them. After discussion, they updated their website =

That's great news! Hopefully this could lead to Windows maybe recognising the monitor as being certified in the near future.

Though this appears to be a more widespread issue with Dell monitors judging by Degrader's post. Perhaps reaching out to Microsoft as well could shed some light on the issue?
