To receive assistance from Dell support agents they have to first check the warranty status. Click the "Get help now" icon on the right. Share with them the private monitor Service Tag, 20 digit serial number, and all of your troubleshooting.

The online S2721QS User's Guide page 53 shows us that the dual built-in 3W speakers have to be turned on in the Menu OSD- Audio- Speaker- On. The Volume should be minimum of 50. Then within the Windows OS- Settings- Sound, you have to choose the S2721QS as the default output device.

Hi HYGunn,

I am facing a similar issue with this monitor. When the monitor goes into sleep mode in windows 10/11 it would drop the sound connection, with no ability to select it in the sound output on windows.

The only fix was to reboot the PC.

I tried reinstalling monitor drivers and a clean re-install of windows, but that didn't help at all.

I have a gut feeling it is a driver issue, which may have to be updated from Dell.

Pete
