SP2309W Audio from HDMI?
I have a Dell SP2309w monitor connected to my laptop via HDMI (Vostro 3500 w GeForce 310m)
Video works, but I cant get any sound! (I have speakers connected to the monitor)
I have tested the laptop with a TV and sound works.
I have “Line Out Source” set to HDMI on the monitor, but it dose not show up in Control panel Sounds > Playback devices on the laptop
The Nvidia Control Panel says the monitor is connected via DVI-PC and I cannot change it to HDMI.

Could someone from Dell maybe test this configuration, or at least the Dell SP2309w monitor with a Nvidia HDMI gfx to see if you are able to produce sound? That would be very helpful.

You do have the speakers connected to the Bottom View #6 Audio Out jack?

Does our monitor name show up as the external device in the laptop display options?

I do not know. It's some setting in the Laptop Audio that is not correct.
