ST2320L large dark regions on screen
Hello,
Yesterday I came back to my computer after a few hours and the screen was much dimmer than usual, and in particular, there are large dark regions on the screen.
I performed the diagnostics as suggested, and these spots are even more clear on the red and gray screens. I've attached photos of those two colors.
Here are the specs:
- Dell ST2320L Monitor
- MacBook Air 13", version 4,2
- Mac OSX Lion
- Onboard video card
- MiniDisplay port -> anything
- Using HDMI
- Not using a Dell cable
- Serial number: CN-0GRV8V-72872-1CK-J1LI
Thank you,
Harold

You can try to do a power reset on this 2 year/2 month old monitor to see if it will correct the issue. If it does not, read this.
* Turn off the monitor
* Unplug all of the monitor cables from the back of the monitor (power, VGA, DVI, DP, HDMI, USB, etc.)
* Press and hold in the monitor power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect only the monitor power cord to the monitor
* Turn on the monitor
* Press and hold Button 1 and Button 4 on the monitor front panel simultaneously for 2 seconds
* A gray screen appears
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to red
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to green
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to blue
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to black
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to white
* Press Button 4 to exit the test
