U2412M, can I use a USB Type-C to DVI/HDMI adapter?
Hi,
Latitude laptop with HDMI/USB Type-C out ports
U2412M with DP/DVI/VGA in ports
I saw that there are issues which people face when they bought the wrong cable or converter combination. I am considering two options:
1. Buy a HDMI (connect to laptop) / DVI ( connect to monitor) cable.
2. Buy a USB Type-C multi adapter which has HDMI and DVI connection. Then connect using a DVI/DVI cable.
Any advice on the above? Thank you so much!

Many possible combinations. HDMI to DVI will only do 1920x1080. Here are two =
Latitude HDMI out port --> HDMI to DVI cable --> U2412M DVI in port 1920x1080 60Hz
Latitude USB Type-C out port --> USB Type-C to DP cable --> U2412M DP in port 1920x1200 60Hz
