U2413: DSCS support for Eye-one Display 2 (not pro)
Hello everyone
I'm trying to run DSCS latest version (200 MB unzipped, NOT sure of the version sorry)
I have an Xrite Eye-one Display 2 (i1 Display 2) not the Pro version. DSCS has installed correctly (though it shows a PCI Device, I suspect the Realtek Reader, not properly installed). Also the i1 is detected correctly on the computer as also the monitor hub. Yet DSCS does not detect it. Error says "i1 Display Not Found".
Is there any way of running the DSCS using this i1 Display 2?
Thanks

No, it won't measure a GB-LED monitor properly, so even if DCCS supported it... it will be useless.
No matter which software you try, an i1d2 is an innacurate colorimeter. Get an i1Displaypro.

No, you cannot do hardware calibration with the i1 Display 2. You will need a i1 Display Pro (i1d3) or a i1 Pro 1 or i1 Pro 2.
Also, I'm not sure if you can even do an accurate software calibration using dispcalGUI because the i1 Display 2 might not read GB-r LED backlights correctly. Your best option is to get a i1d3.

You can use the ColorMunki to do a software calibration with dispcalGUI. However, if you wish to do a hardware calibration (which takes advantage of the internal 14-bit LUT and will be more accurate), you need to use DCCS with an i1d3.
