U2413 keep on entering power saving mode while playing games (dota 2 and csgo)
Hi,
I had a problem with my U2413 while playing games. I'm using HDMI port. Recently just tested on 2 games, Dota 2 and CSGO. At first, it's running smooth like butter but its go rage after a few minutes and turn black screen and HDMI icon pop out on the top left of the screen and show entering power saving mode. My games were still running behind the black screen and its turn back on to the games after few secs. The problem keep occurs after 1 to 2 mins and I'm forced to End task the games.
It's normal while doing well on Words, surf net, or movies. Problem occurs while gaming only.
I hope someone would give me some solution. I will get a DVI port tomorrow to try out whether it solve the problem. FYI, I don't get any problem before while using HDMI, its just happened few days ago.

What computer (Laptop or Desktop) ?
What video card GPU?
What video out ports are on the video card GPU?
What operating system?

1. Im using desktop.
2. Sapphire HD7870 XT
3. HDMI to HDMI
4. Windows 7
Update: I had tried other HDMI cables. The problem still remain. I will try out again with DVI cable later

According to this, the video card has DVI, HDMI, two mDP video out ports. If that is your video card, you should test all of the following =
Sapphire HD7870 XT mDP #1 out --> U2413 mDP to DP cable --> U2413 DP in
Sapphire HD7870 XT mDP #2 out --> U2413 mDP to DP cable --> U2413 DP in
Sapphire HD7870 XT DVI out --> U2413 DVI cable --> U2413 DVI in
But first, download/install the latest driver from AMD. Once installed, reboot the computer. Retest all three above.

Hi,
This is exactly my card.
I had installed the latest driver. I had tried out Sapphire HD7870 XT DVI out --> U2413 DVI cable --> U2413 DVI. Everything work great. Managed to play 2 dota games straight. So I think I will keep this DVI setting now. Didn't manage to get mDP to DP cables. So I leave it there. Maybe sometimes I will tried out the DP setting
Just wonder what happened to the HDMI ports.
