U2414H, Computer VGA to Monitor DP = no signal?
Hi,
I purchased the U2414H monitor. As I lack of cable and there is only D-sub cable in my desktop (straight from Motherboard, do not own a vga card), I am not able to use this monitor. Then I bought a D-sub http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171247661510?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649. Still not working, showing no displayport on the monitor. So frustrating on this product now! can someone please help me with it.

A VGA port on the computer cannot up-convert to a monitor DP (DisplayPort). The cable you bought is designed to go from:
Computer video card DP out port--> down-convert to Monitor VGA in port
You need to go computer VGA out to monitor HDMI in using an "active converter". Purchase this Monoprice computer VGA out to monitor HDMI in active converter.

Computer VGA out --> VGA to VGA cable --> Monoprice VGA in/Monoprice HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in
