U2414H, Display port Power Saving
I've got few displays U2414H. And got a strange issue with them. Some of U2414H went to Power save mod when connected via a DP->miniDP cable. Dp to laptop or dockstation, mdp to display. It's occasional bug, and happens random at different OS and laptops. I have caught that bug at Dell 6320 with ubuntu/win7, dell 7440 with Ubuntu14.04/win7 and Dell 7240 with win7/kubuntu. The normal functionality for a while can be reached by unplug power cable from display, and plug that cable back. If i use hdmi port on display - its, works fine. With mdp port same problem. Dp 1.2 function is off, No chain. Is that known issue? How i can fix that?

Revision A03 fixed, "DP1.1 single monitor wake on sleep issue when monitor was paired with certain graphic card". If not A03, get them exchanged. If they are A03, you have the latest revision. Look to the video card driver as the culprit.
