U2419HC, audio out and compatibility question
Hello,
Looking at the User's Guide for the Dell U2419HC monitor, am I understanding correctly that the audio out port will not work for a HDMI input? Seems odd when the U2419H says it works with the HDMI connection. Also, are these two monitors (U2419HC and U2419H) compatible with the XPS tower with a GTX 1080 graphics card? Using the HDMI connection in particular?

It appears that you are correct based on the User's Guides. Another U2419HC user will need to test HDMI in and tell us if they can get audio to work through the U2419HC Audio line-out port.

$349.99 U2419HX 1920x1080 60Hz, HDMI 1.4/DP 1.4, HDMI cable
Audio line-out port = Connect speakers to playback audio coming through HDMI or DP audio channels. Only supports 2-channel audio. The audio line-out port does not support headphones.
$399.99 U2419HC HDMI 1.4/DP 1.4/USB Type-C, DP cable, USB Type-C cable
Audio line-out port = Connect speakers to playback audio coming through USB Type-C or DP audio channels. Only supports 2-channel audio. The audio line-out port does not support headphones.
In theory, all four should work via the GTX 1080 HDMI out port.

Will these monitors work with the GTX 1080 through the DisplayPort connection as well?
