U2515H, DDM not detecting fixed, Enable DDC/CI
Hello,
I already try to contact DELL support but by phone they cant solve the problem and by email they don't reply. I have two U2515H in different locations. I connect my laptop to them by HDMI in Projector mode:
On the first U2515H, everything works correctly. However, when the laptop is on the second U2515H, DDM displays the following error: "This software require a Dell monitor supported and compatible driver".
Despite the error, the U2515H and the hub works correctly. The only problem is the DDM not recognizing the U2515H.
I have reinstalled DDM multiple times and last time I use this version while connected to the U2515H with the problem. But same error:
On my first U2515H, all versions of DDM work and detect the U2515H:
My Nvidia drivers are updated and my Windows 7.
What can I do?
Thanks

Both logs confirm the problem is on the monitor side of the cable.
1. Open the "bad" U2515H OSD and make sure DDC/CI is enabled under "Others". If this is set to disabled, DDM will simply not work
2. If #1 is not the problem, try the other HDMI input. It looks like you are connecting to HDMI 1 on the U2515H; try HDMI 2
3. If #1 and #2 don't help - and even if #2 does work - then you may want to look into exchanging the monitor. If you are stuck with the monitor, and a DisplayPort connection is possible, that's worth trying.
But hopefully its #1.

When were both U2515H purchased?
From whom?
What are both U2515H 20 digit S/N?
So is this your physical setup on the problem U2515H?
Laptop HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2515H HDMI left in port
Laptop USB 3.0 port --> U2515H USB 3.0 Upstream cable --> U2515H USB 3.0 Upstream port
Did you also test the U2515H HDMI right in port?

Hello,
Both displays were purchased new in a local store (Portugal).
01-06-2016 - SN has 20 digits
29-10-2017 - SN has 23 digits (the display DDM does not recognize)
Both setups are the same =
Laptop HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2515H HDMI in port 1 (left)
Laptop USB 3.0 port --> U2515H USB 3.0 Upstream cable --> U2515H USB 3.0 Upstream port
I just test the U2515H HDMI port 2 (right) and there is no difference.

Then I would check with the local store about their policy for getting a like for like U2515H exchange. If you decide to go through Dell support in your country, you have to first register the monitor in your name.

So, this is not a software problem? I need to send it to warranty?
Thanks

Two things worth doing first on the U2515H that is *not* working as it should:
1. Exit and then restart DDM, then do this: while holding down the SHIFT key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon and select "Save diagnostic report" from the popup menu. Then post the content of the report you saved here.
2. Try running softMCCS, and then saving and posting the log: File menu > Save log as...
Both reports are ASCII text files you can open in Windows Notepad.
