U2715H, Amazon, Dead Dark Pixel

I just took delivery of my new Dell U2715H and unfortunately there's a black unresponsive pixel on the upper right sight of the screen. It's not visible on a black background, but can be seen quite clearly with any other colour - especially white - which means that using Google or any word processing platform makes it stand out like a sore thumb. I have so far done the following:

Ran through all the self-diagnosis options within the monitor's settings twice now.

Removed all cables and held in power button for 15 seconds twice.

Tried all different connections (HDMI, Displayport).

Tried PixelHealer & JScreenFix programs for 1 hour each.

The problem persists which leads me to believe I have a dead pixel. I have only just registered my Amazon-bought monitor with DELL today (it arrived today) so the email said it may be 15 days before I hear from them. Would I be a candidate for a replacement? Is there any way to guarantee the replacement would be defect-free? Having paid £380 for a new one I would like a new replacement. I think that's fair.

Unfortunately, Dell cannot exchange this. The Dell Ultrasharp Pixel policy states that an Ultrasharp monitor must have 6 or more "dark pixel defects" to qualify for a monitor exchange. Amazon can exchange it (for customer satisfaction) because you are inside the first 30 days from purchase from them. We shipped the monitor to them on May 24, 2016. Personally, I would not call a 5 month old monitor "new", but that is Amazon.

Do Dell incinerate all monitors in the warehouse that are over 8 weeks old or something? :P I'm surprised about the policy of being able to have up to six of those black dots on a panel before being considered faulty. No Matter, Amazon will be sending another "new" monitor in a day or so. Hopefully I get a perfect panel as I already have one and it's a fantastic display.

Appreciate the timely response.

p.s.

If I get another bad one, I'll refund and try directly with you guys. Give Amazon  a fair chance first to put it right.

For your information, the complete Pixel Policy can be found in the top announcement, "FAQ Monitor". Open, "Pixel Policy & Pixel Exerciser".
