U2715H bad uniformity
To be honest I have very little hope for a good outcome, but I have some issues with the U2715H.
You (Dell) claim it to be for professionals. But the light/color uniformity is horrible. I've had 3 of these monitors (I want 2, but I ordered 3 so I could send the worst back). And all of them had the same bad uniformity of light/color. Especially noticable with white background. And even more with gray.
All these 3 copies had the same issue. Everybody on the internet who reviews it has the same complaints. Even tftcentral.com has it's doubt's about the screen quality and does not recommend it (if only I read that sooner..)
So how come Dell thinks the uniformity is good enough if litterly in every review there are complaints about this? Im thinking about sending them all back and go for an iiyama or maybe EIZO
Anybody else, maybe some DIY fixing?

Post pictures of this "bad uniformity" using standard office lighting.

Although it doesn't seem like it, these pictures were taken in a bright lit room. If you wan't I can post more tomorrow with daylight + artificial light in the room. The camera was focussed on the monitor, and to get a clear picture of the screen it reduced the brightness or something for the image.
To be honest on the pictures it doesn't seem too bad. But in real life the color differences are pretty noticable. Especially with gray or gray/brownish tints.
In total now I've had six different U2715H's. Three from one shop. Three from another. Four were sent back, and the two 'best' are kept.
But after unpacking the new 3 monitors I came across a new problem. The max brightness on the 3 of them were very much lower than the other 3. Were the second 3 monitors have their brightness at 100, the first 3 are around 65 to have the same amount of brightness. The max brightness on the first 3 is normal. On the second three very very low. That's pretty annoying when working with 2 displays like myself. Is there anything to do about that? (Guess they're from two different batches)
Love the design but I after this I'm pretty bummed..

Each panel is unique and their appearance at Factory settings will differ. Those pictured are well within manufacturing specifications.

Are you saying that you are NOT buying these directly from Dell Germany?
Did you happen to record the 20 digit serial numbers from all of these? Looks like this =

I just bought a U2715H, and the backlight on mine is pretty uneven too. TFTCentral reviewed this monitor and found their sample was much darker on the left and much brighter on the right. Mine is the same. I measured the luminance with a meter and at 35 percent brightness, the luminance is as follows:
Left: 111 cd/m2
Center: 157 cd/m2
Right: 168 cd/m2
The variance is quite noticeable on a solid background. I'm debating whether to return this and try another sample, but I'm not encouraged by the original poster's experience.

Similar issues with mine.. I did not take measurements but it was noticeably warmer color on the upper left and cooler on the lower right. I'm not paying $600+ for a $300 quality monitor so I am returning it. I considered asking for a replacement but decided against it based on Dell Customer Service's lack of apparent concern, and the fact that after x days, I'd be getting used/refurbished equipment for a new price tag. Unacceptable for me, so Dell lost me as a customer until they can get their customer service department to a higher standard.
