U2715H, dead/stuck pixel, Dell warranty, #2
Good day, I have the following problem and would like to know if warranty repair/replacement is possible. Monitor has been in use for 2 years.
Problem: Highly visible dead pixel/sub pixel that is very close to the center of screen.
Monitor: Dell U2715H
Purchase date: 03.06.2017

* For my notes, click my Dell-name and private message me the U2715H service tag number and 20 digit alpha numeric serial number.
* Dell does not repair monitors, sell monitor internal components, or have monitor disassembly documentation.
* That is a stuck dark pixel. You need 6 or more stuck dark pixels to warrant an exchange.
* Sometimes you can "exercise" a stuck pixel to correct it.
- Go here
- Click the blue, "Launch JScreenFix" button
- Drag the pixel fixer over the stuck pixel and leave running for at least 10 minutes
- Then minimize the browser window
- Turn the monitor off, then on
- If the pixel is still stuck, repeat the above 10 minute pixel exercise
