U3014, Dual, DVI cannot get 2560x1600

Hi,

I have two Dell U3014's running from the same computer, windows 7 (64-bit).  One is using HDMI and supports 2560x1600, the other is using a dual link DVI cable (as suggested) and only offers 1920x1080, any suggestions as to how to get the second monitor offering 2560x1600?  The graphics card can obviously support 2560x1600, my second HDMI port doesn't seem to work so I can't run both monitors from a HDMI port.

Many thanks,

George

* What specific video card? List all the video out ports on it
* Turn all three off (computer, U3014 using HDMI, U3014 using DVI-D)
* Connect only one U3014 in this way =
Video card DVI-D out port --> U3014 DVI-D to DVI-D cable --> U3014 DVI-D in port
* Turn the U3014 on, then the computer
* In this single monitor setup, what resolution can you get?

I just changed which dvi port I was using, as I noticed my computer had 3, two different ones. Using one of the different ones worked.

GTurnerrr,

You marked my post as a solution? Exactly what fixed the issue?

Some DVI ports are only single link and you wont get anything more than 1920x1200 out of it.
