U3223QE, NV, Dual Input, Screen shuts off itself
Dell U3223QE
I have a U3223QE with MST connected to C2422, and a desktop with 1080TI running newest NV driver and a Latitude 5530. I connect 1080Ti with DP and 5530 with type C. 5530 with Type C is working perfect. But when I tried to switch back up to DP from type C, from 5530 to my desktop, U3223QE will first show no DP input and then showing my desktop screen, after about 20s, screen is off, power LED is off, but C2422 is still showing my desktop screen and movie is still play in the back, only U3223QE is off. I need to power it on, and another 20s, it shuts off again. Meantime, power button is dead during power on time, I cannot turn it off. Disconnect from 5530, everything works perfect.

To receive assistance from DELL-Cares chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Click the DELL-Cares username. On the right, click, "Send this user a private message". Share the private U3223QE, C2422HE, Latitude 5530 Service Tags with them.
Simplify the setup. Disconnect the added C2422HE from the U3223QE. Now retest switching from USB-C to DP.

U3223QE was offered a replacement. Issue is still identical while C2422HE connected. With C2422HE turned off, U3223QE will have random black screen, but no more screen shuts off connected to both USB-C and DP with DSC still working and streaming to the secondary screen. I'm still consider this as a FW issue and I still need the secondary screen instead of a wired auto shut off going on or complicated setup that needs two cables connect to both laptop and desktop. Any PSQN simliar to this you can share?

I do not find any PSQN for this or discussion about possible future firmware updates. All you and I can do is periodically check the applicable drivers pages.

Well, I did more try and found a stable replay on black screens. I'm playing desktop with DP while 5530 running on typec but no video output, a reboot on 5530, a black flash screen occurs for around 2-5 seconds when the laptop turned on and when DELL logo appears on 5530, screen comes back. With or without DSC is the same. While U3223QE still randomly shuts off with DSC still streaming to C2422HE. Windows does not catch any sign of screen off. I'm trying to escalate with local Dell support team for L2 support or even IPS support on this.

Got a L3 support and turn off the Auto Select, issue is resolved with the dead black screen.
But black flash screen with 5530 reboot is still there. And even more issue that when I use 5530 with type c connected but not select on monitor, 5530 showing it detects the 3223 and duplicating the screen and it's running on 4K resolution which it's screen does not support.
I'm totally disappeared with the monitor and if there is no solution on these pain in *** problems. I'm seeking a way to refund the monitor.

Sorry, dead black screen observed again. Lowered frequency.
