U3417W, no audio, #2
Just bought a new U3417W and can't get it to produce any sound. From other posts, it seems that installing the device driver is supposed to create an audio driver for the monitor - it doesn't - just my internal laptop sound device shows up. Tried driver on CD and driver off web site - no difference. Anyone else experienced this? Connecting via miniDP. Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 6.1.7601

You have to open the operating system Sound Playback Devices and add the green check to the U3417W as the Default Device. Then open the U3417W OSD (On Screen Display), go to Audio and set the volume, page 49.
