U3421WE, switching off inactive inputs?

Hello. I have two laptops connected to my U3421WE. When I switch inputs on the monitor from laptop 1 to laptop 2, laptop 1 doesn't realise it is no longer using the monitor. So windows are left open where they can't be seen or moved. Is there a way to force the monitor to 'switch off' the inactive input? Thanks, Bob
