U4021QW, MacBook Pro M1, cannot change volume
Trying to use a dell U4021QW monitor with a MacBook Pro running an M1 processor. I have no volume controls from my MacBook Pro. This is pretty frustrating.
Another thread (U4021QW, Mac Mini M1 Big Sur, cannot change volume) suggests to install some free random software from the internet, but that violates my company's security policy (and rightly so).
Would really love to see a fix for this. Spending over $2,000 for a monitor that is supposed to be Apple compatible and not having basic speaker control is pretty frustrating.

Unfortunately, this is a macOS issue specifically. Apple doesn't allow you to use the built-in volume controls over HDMI or DisplayPort connections either. I have the same issue with a Viewsonic display at home and the U4021QW at work.
