U4021QW, firmware M2T102 not installing, #4
Issue: Firmware update not working on Mac OS for U4021QW. (see photos and confirmation details below)
Display Model: U4021QW
Display Firmware: M2T101
Mac OS Version: 11.6
Laptop Spec: MacBook Pro 16 inch (Late 2019 model). 64GB ram, 2.4GHZ 8 core Intel Core i9, 4 Thunderbolt ports
Configuration: Thunderbolt 3 cable from monitor to laptop (cable that was included with monitor). Thunderbolt port on monitor is the one with the power delivery. Laptop is not connected to any other monitor or USB device. Resolution of monitor is 5120 2160 60ghz 30 bit.
I have tried steps outlined in the help link on the failure but issue remains. I am now always receiving firmware update not complete when turning on monitor even when no laptop is connected.

Update October 8, 2021 = The DELL-Cares agent stated:
As per our Level 3 team, we received an update that there may be new version released to avoid these conflicts. But, they do not have an update on the release date. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Keep checking the U4021QW driver page for future updates. We did find this on reddit = Took about 15 minutes to upgrade the U4021QW firmware. Had to hook up a USB-B cable; it won't upgrade over Thunderbolt 3 alone.
