U4919DW, USB 3.0 devices not working

Good evening everybody,

Maybe you are able to help me. I bought the Dell U4919DW two years ago and everything is working extremely fine except one problem regarding USB 3.0 connections while using USB Type-C.

When using the USB Type-C connection only sometimes a connected ethernet adapter is working and most of the time it is not. If I am using the display with my PC there is no problem regarding the USB to Ethernet adapter. I tried different USB Ethernet adapters, different Laptops (Dell XPS 7390, Lenovo Thinkpad X13 with AMD, MacBook Air 2018) but all of them have the same problem. The USB 3.0 adapter only gets recognized sometimes.

The same thing happens to USB 3.0 storage sticks. All USB 2.0 devices don't have a problem with that so that mouse, keyboard etc. are working flawlessly.

What is kind of irritating that sometimes everything is working fine without any problems.

Is my unit defective?

Thanks and kind regards

I don't suppose a fix was found for this?  I'm having same problem with USB3 NICs - after a day or two need to power off/on the monitor's AC power to restore.
