UP2414Q, backlight on hours

In October 2014 (less than 3 years ago) I bought a UP2414Q monitor. I've recently loaded up the service menu (Press and hold buttons 2 and 4, then 6. Then release all three buttons at the same time), which showed me a backlight on hours of 22347 on Aug 17. Repeating that on Sep 9, it read 22887.

This makes it appear as if to have been on for 22887/24 = 953.625 days, or 953.625/365.25 = 2.61 years, which is basically the duration of the ownership.

Additionally, over the course of at most 24 days, backlight has supposedly been on for 540 hours, or 540/24=22.5 full days. While my computer is on 24/7, my display does not get used more than 8h every work day, and it goes into backlight off after one minute of no use (confirmed by having the power LED switch to slowly blinking mode).

It seems likely this is a firmware bug in REV00 UP2414Q — has anyone else with UP2414Q seen this?  Can you check to see what your backlight on hours are?

We do not support users going into this FSM (Factory Service Menu). That menu is reserved for our technicians at the service centers. Any changes you make in there that break the monitor will not be covered under the 3 year warranty.

The math is correct.
22347 / 24 = 931 days 2.55 years

22887 / 24 = 953 days 2.61 years

540 hours in 22 days

And it could be that you are at A00 (we are up to A04 on this model), but this is not a justifiable reason to get a monitor exchange. Why, because the monitor functions in all of its capabilities described in the user accessible online User's Guide.

Thanks for your response, Chris. I am not asking for a replacement, I am only asking if this is a firmware bug or not, because it is a weird one. I was going to replace this screen, so I wanted to check out the backlight on time and was unpleasantly surprised (this might hurt the resale value). My old U2711 which had a similar usage pattern until it was moved to a computer that is less seldom used is still up at only ~4500h.
