UP2718Q, Firmware M2T102, custom color settings error
Hello,
I have just purchased a Dell UP2718Q monitor, which I upgraded to firmware version M2T102. I think the factory firmware worked normally (I am not 100% sure about that), but I used that only for a few hours. After upgrading the firmware I experienced abnormal behavior in the custom colors menu regarding the hue and saturation sliders, please see a video of it:

- On Windows 10 by changing the saturation in the custom color menu, the saturation jumps and takes irregular values. I can change the saturation only in 15 steps many times on the full 0-100 range and for example in the case of red color 47 is already fully desaturated. 32 is fully saturated, 31 is fully desaturated, etc.
- By adjusting hue values in the Custom Color menu there is no change in colors.
If the factory firmware would be available for download, I could test these settings with that, too. As far as I remember, the custom color settings worked with that fine, but I used that for such a short time that I am not sure about it. I think this is a software error in the new firmware.

We did not upload any of the UP2718Q firmware to the UP2718Q page. The only one available was inside the DUCCS download. I do not know if it is even possible to "backflash" the firmware. I have emailed the Displays Team asking for advice.

They have replicated the issue. The are working on it. Most likely an new firmware. Do not get an exchange.

Thank you for your reply. I also need the X-Rite compatibility, which is supported only by the new firmware. The original firmware would be only a good starting point to check if it has the same Custom Color menu issues and Dell could test both versions regarding the Custom Color menu. My guess is that there is a bug in the new firmware, which causes the Custom Color menu unusable. Is it possible to get a confirmation of the issue? If the problem affects all displays, a new firmware release is needed.

As you can see from the UP2718Q driver page, the DUCCS package released on 1/17/18 with M2T102 is still the only release. I have yet to see any customers posting that they received one with M2T103.
