dimension 310 with olevia 527 tv

i am running windows xp home media and would like to use the olevia 527 monitor (http://olevia.com/en-us/Products/5Series.aspx) with this pc.  unfortunately the screen resolution will not allow me to get past 640x480.  i have read many different items on various boards and tried many of them.  I know that this cannot be that difficult.  Please tell me there is a simple solution.
