gkiester, 2407WFP Front buttons not working properly - Power button doesn't work at all

gkiester,

I removed your post to hide your phone number. Here is your original post:
Hi,
I purchased my 2407WFP about 3 months ago. It is the none UltraSharp monitor ($300 range) and recently the buttons on the front panel are not working correctly. First, the power button is completely inactive. The light still comes on when the monitor is on but that's all it is good for. Next, the rest of the buttons (4 or 5 buttons to the left of the power button) do not function as the setup buttons. Every one of these buttons turns the monitor on and off. It doesn't matter which button I press. Any suggestions? I don't have me receipt in front of me at the moment. This should be covered under warranty if I have to send it back correct?

Thanks,
gkiester

Monitor Power Reset
* Power off the monitor
* Disconnect all cabling from the bottom and/or sides of the monitor (especially the power cord)
* Press and hold the monitor power button down for 5 seconds
* Reconnect only the monitor power cord and either the #1 blue VGA or #2 white DVI (not both)
* Power the monitor on
* The PC should already be on. The monitor should auto sense the #1 blue VGA or #2 white DVI. If it does not, press the Input Select button and change to #1 VGA or #2 DVI

What happens?

I am having the same problem with my 2407WFPb, manufactured in Feb 2007, none of my buttons work. I have tried the reset procedure you outlined and nothing changed. Can't power off the monitor, nor change any selections.

Where can I find my service tag? There are only two labels on the unit and only one of them has a bar code, but the number is 20 characters long?

Thanks!

Flat Panel,

If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in,
1-800-624-9896. They will need the following information -
Monitor 20 digit PPID number
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
