1. Yes, you can but it's better to backup your Celerra NAS by NDMP protocol. You don't need to have tape drive attached to your Celerra because you can direct their data to any Storage Node. See Supported NDMP Configurations in Administrator Guide.

2. I would recommend you that you create one group with a client for SQL backup and another group with another instance of the same client for filesystem backup. It's no possible in NW to backup SQL and FS data by one only instance of client.

1. There is a document somewhere that goes over all that is needed to backup using UNC paths. Basically, in the save set you need to put the full UNC of the location you are backing up (\\ \ \etc...). You will also need to change the Networker services to logon using credentials that have authority to the NAS share (if you are using folder security). You will also need to map the drive path in Windows, you can give it whatever drive letter you wish. NDMP is the preferred method but UNC works just as well (in my case) and requires no NDMP licensing.

2. You don't ever want a FS backup and a SQL backup running at the same time. If this is a large SQL instance or a heavily used instance, it could bring your system to a grinding hault. That's why Networker will not allow you to run both FS and SQL (or exchange for that matter) at the same time. Besides, it requires a different save command to initiate the SQL backup (and exchange).

I hope that helps!
