Backup error VCB parameters
Hi all,
Good day,
Please assist all of my vm servers are keeps on failing the only backup successful is the save set - index.
this is the error messages on all of my failed backups.

Initializing VCB Configuration..
Failed to get application information attribute of configured VCB proxy server bk02.internal for client PN02
Unable to configure the VCB parameters..
bk02 is physical server and it is where my networker installed.
pn02 is vmware
No Events found!

Hi Pat3ck,
It would sound like you have multiple instances of the VCB Proxy Client configured with different savesets.
Please try to check the EMC solution below:
Cause
There are multiple instances of client resources for the Proxy host defined on the Networker server. For example in the above the Proxy host 'NWkrProxy.local' has multiple client resources defined on the networker server. During backup Networker obtains the parameters required to initailize VADP backups, from the 'Application Information:' attribute of the Proxy hosts client resource (under 'Apps & Modules' tab of the proxys client resource). The following parameters are commonly defined in this attribute:
VADP_MAX_BACKOFF_TIME=10
VADP_TRANSPORT_MODE=san
VADP_HOST=NWkrProxy.local
VADP_BACKUPROOT=c:\mnt
VADP_MAX_RETRIES=0
When mutliple client resources are defined for the proxy host, the every instance of the Proxy hosts client resource should have the 'Application Information' attribute populated as above.
Resolution
If there are multiple instances of client resource for the Proxy host on the Networker server, ensure that each instance has the 'Application Information' attribute populated with the required VADP parameters for VADP backups to be successful. This applies to VCB backups as well. However the parameters for VCB backups have different names.
Also confirm VCB Proxy backup type under Apps & Module of VM client is selected as VCB and the proxy backup name is entered with correct DNS name for proxy host

thank you for your reply.
i checked the properties of my vm client.
could you please take a look if there is something wrong?
the name of the server is correct and the physical host entry is entered in fqdn.
but when i try to click the browse button which i put an arrow sign. there is an error please see screen shot - the client name "netbios name"......
