Backup sap

Hello,

when I do a backup for sap, if I have a problem saving a file that the backup recovery. how to change the parameter to avoid it

* VMSAPPR01:backint:P01 1 retry attempted

* VMSAPPR01:backint:P01 brbackup exited with error status 2.

* VMSAPPR01:backint:P01

* VMSAPPR01:backint:P01 (pid = 5980) (date = 04.10.2012 05:20:11) Backup Failed.

* VMSAPPR01:backint:P01 (pid = 5980) (date = 04.10.2012 05:20:15) A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

You would need to check on client backint log (in /nsr/applogs) and brbackup log (in /oracle/P01/sapbackup). Yje message you bolded seems to indicated that client is not able to communicate back to server/storage node.  If this is multihomed environment, make sure proper interface is used and that it can communicate back.  But still, check client side logs and if possible run manually brbackup to see if that works.

I had the same issue ……. solved by adding util_path= in the BRTools configuration file init .sap (with BRTools 7.10 or greater)

You can find the backint directory by using the following command:

find / -name backint* -print

DBSID is the Data base name

No Events found!
