Can you barcodes with sjirdtag?

If yes, then go to library properties in NW and enable barcode flag.

In the new version 7.32. is not possible to label various volumes
simultaneously , is a bug of the product, the only way is make it by commands, as folow:

nsrjb ¿L ¿b(pool) ¿S( slots range,they must be folowed))

The same to withdraw various volumes to the cap:

nsrjb ¿w ¿S (slots range, they must be folowed)

or to deposit:

nsrjb ¿d ¿S (slots range, they must be folowed)

Do you see barcodes when you use sjirdtag? If not, then you must talk to HW support again.

Yes, the barcode reader has been enabled.
In fact, the barcode works before, but there is a hardware problem, and we replace the tape drive. After that, the tape library work fine but the barcode is not shown in the device list when inventory.

You can use

sjirdtag scsidev@library scsidev

to see the tapes by order of slot,
thus you can verify if the labels are rights or no

sjirdtag is command which communicates directly with your library and if barcode system is working correctly you should be able to see them. usage is sjirdtag b.t.l (bus.target.lun) and you can find those via inquire or by looking to control path of library properties.

It's not exactly the same, but very close to it. You will need to test it anyway. And once you are on server do also nsrjb -j -vV and post result here.

I cant telnet to the networker server right now. :(
But on the hardware level, the hardware engineer has tested the tape library that could recongize all the tapes by barcode. Is this test same as the command "sjirdtag"?
