You can't (nor you ever could) use LAC code to authorize update enabler.  Simply contact licensing for that step.

the LAC is the number that we can find your information on EMC side ,it is not the license

Do not confuse a LAC with an auth code. LACs are used in EMC Powerlink Licensing to obtain and activate the license key. A LAC enables you to obtain an auth code, but it is the combined application of permanent enabler and auth codes in NetWorker software that permanently licenses the software.

You can send an email to EMC license team (licensing@emc.com) to obtain a license for NetWorker 8.1. Please write your company name, Networker version, how many license do you have, and what's kinds of license do you have. current version and upgrade version , contact informationl, Site ID, Site Name, all enabler codes, and new machine's host id.

I guess you added the temporary license which was created by the existing lac before upgrading it to 8.x and in the evaluation period you want to get the upgrade done and keep using the software. Is that what you are asking?

When upgrading from NetWorker 7.6.x to 8.0, NetWorker automatically generates an update enabler which remains valid for a period of 45 days. All existing/temporary license remains valid. In your circumstance, during the upgrade, there is no need to make any update on enabler/license/lac as long as the hostid isn't changed.
