Change email address for notifications... where do I change it?

Hi,

I need to change the email addresses for the list of people who are getting notifications. Where do I make this change? The Networker is running on a Solaris server. thanx.

Go to NMC and you will find in Notification area under action if I remember correctly.

That was one of the first areas I checked but there isn't much you can do with those alerts. Maybe I am missing something?

If what you want to do is just change the email address of the notifications sent by Nw, then that's the place you have to go. (The email address should be in the "Action field)

If you want to create new notificatinos and believes those ones don't meet your needs, then it's another question :)

Perhaps you can send nsradmin output of notification as that would help to figure out how your notification looks like.

Our notifications are set up in the action field of the notification type...

go to notifications in the networker administrator.
select notification you wish to modify,
double click and check action field

an example would be...

smtpmail -s "boostrap information" -h x.x.x.x account1@domain.com -f account2@domain.com

where x.x.x.x is the IP address of your mail server
account1 is the address you are sending to and
account 2 is the email address it will send from
