Client support for Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6)?
Is the Networker client supported on Mac OS X Leopard? Anyone tried it?
Thanks,
Andrew

If not, then you can a) test and use it, but you'll be out of official support, or b) ask for the road map or ask for a official compatbility test

I'm using ipod touch gen1 and there is also no support
On more serious note, I assume MacOS is not that enterprise and not very high on list of priorities the moment. By saying that, it might be that perhaps it was not qualified or they forgot to update compatibility guide. Since SL is 10.6 and latest supported release is 10.5... perhaps difference (as for backup) is not that big and one of MacOS owners may wish to try it if it works in the first place.

Unfortuenatley this version is not supported yet.
You can check frequently the compatability guide from the following link:

Please would you mark it as Answered when you get a chance for that ? if you have any further questions please let us know.

Hi Andrew,
NW 7.6.1 was released at the beginning of Oct. We are using it on 19 - Apple Xserver file servers which were upgraded from OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) to OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) in July. This broke our existing NW 7.4.2 backup at that time and we had to wait patiently for this release in order to get support. Luckily, we're a school board and our backup was limping along only during the September school startup. We were getting intermittent backups of various clients and even then we were getting 6 copies of each saveset as the backups were being restarted on successful completion.
Everything is good now. I just have to clear up that annoying problem that occurs when you replace the box that a client is on with a new one. "A client is already using that host name. Pick a new new one or delete the peer resource." No problem on a wintel client. Hell on a Mac client. Since the backup server and the clients it is backing up are all connected to the same switch and are located in the same secure data centre along with the switch, I am disabling NSRAUTH.
