Hi Tien,

Are the devices correctly configured on storage node on DR site? If so, are you able to mount tapes or perform any other operations normally?

Have you tried running only scanner -i or scanner -m instead of scanner -B?

Have you tried to add some debug options to the scanner command, such as:

scanner -vvv -B rd=storagenode:/dev/rmt/0cbn

Anyway, when you start the mmrecov all available devices, if that one is not displayed then either is not properly configured or is not recognized. Anyway I have my doubts about using storage node to perform mmrecov process.

Thank you.

Carlos.

Thanks Carlos,

Found that: you cannot run the command: scanner for remote device on Networker server... you must run it on storage node...

For mmrecov:  must run on Networker server but not support on my case (with storage node) quoted from: esg52477

Anyway, my solultion is: Upgrade storage node to networker server... (a bit difficult to migrate from Windows to Solaris).

Regards,

Tien.

Tien,

You can do a cross platform migration of a NetWorker server, as described in:

https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg67427

Also check this one for some information about merging NW servers:

Thank you.

You can scan for the bootstrap on the local client after you have configured it as a device.  However I am not sure if mmrecov will work with a remote device...
